Eligible Participants

Participation in the Certification Program shall be open to all interested parties who meet the qualifications for training and experience, but not limited to, state bank examiners and bankers. Participation in the Program is strictly voluntary.

Organizational Responsibility

The Certification Program shall be administered under the auspices of the Education Foundation of State Bank Supervisors. An EFSBS committee shall be appointed to oversee all aspects of the Certification Program, including its development, format, content and procedures, and revisions. This Certification Committee is empowered to make all final certification decisions. The current members of the Certification Committee are:

  • Ms. Carol Collison, CEM, Chief Bank Examiner, DE
  • Mr. Ronnie Bucher, CEM, Field Office Supervisor, PA
  • Ms. Grace Lurry, CEM, Deputy Commissioner for Supervision, GA
  • Mr. Tom McVey, CEM, Chief Financial Institutions Examiner, WV
  • Ms. Georgia G. High, CEM, Staff Director

The Committee makes all final decisions with regard to the certification requirements. The Committee may delegate authority to staff to award certification consistent with program requirements.
