How To Utilize the Examiner Pool Database
- All participating states must acknowledge and sign the usage agreement.
- Click on "Search the Examiner Pool List" and view the Pool by
experience or by the type of institution examined.
- Determine which examiners meet your states experience requirements,
salary restrictions, and are available during your desired time
frame.
- There are two types of examiners included in the Examiner Pool ?
those currently employed by another state banking department or those
recently retired from a state banking department, the FDIC, or the
Federal Reserve. If the examiner is currently employed by a state
banking department, you should contact the specified person within the
department, not necessarily the examiner. If the examiner is retired,
you should contact the person directly.
- We urge all departments to review the discussion checklist prior to any contractual
discussions.
- Draft the appropriate contractual documents. We have included sample documents that are used by the Michigan Office
of Financial and Insurance Services for your review.
When using this CSBS resource, please keep in mind:

in or connection with the CSBS Examiner Pool does not in any manner
operate to create any kind of contractual or legally binding
