Update
The EFSBS certification program has 870 participants at last count.  These examiners work at 37 agencies in 35 states.

Remember, if you complete the CSBS technical courses: Certified Operations Examiner School, Credit Evaluation School, Trust Examiner School, you qualify for the COE, CCE, CTE designations, respectively (application must be submitted and attested to by your supervisor).  Completing the MSB online course qualifies you for the CMBE designation and the Residential Mortgage Examiner School qualifies you for CME status.  And the first year fee of $95 ($75 certification fee and $20 application fee) is waived.  In all cases one year in your current position is required and there may be a examination participation requirement as well.

Please visit the EFSBS Certified Examiner Program website for downloadable forms and more information on qualifications.
New Certifications Under Consideration
The CSBS Certification Committee will begin review of two new designations:  Mortgage Servicer Examiner (CMSE) and Multi-State Mortgage Examination Manager (CMMEM).  If you have any information you would like to offer in support of adding these designations to the program, please send it to rshaheen@csbs.org or by fax to 202-296-1928.
New Online Forms!
All forms related to the Certification program are now online and in an easy-to-use format.  Click here to find the new web forms on the right-hand side of the Certification homepage.  Supervisors should complete the forms for all submissions.  If you are a supervisor and are unable to access the forms, please send an email to rshaheen@csbs.org.  You may attach supporting documentation to the electronic forms.

Downloadable and printable forms are still available for use by all.  Click the link above and you will find these forms on the left-hand menu.

If you have any comments or other feedback about the web forms, please post them here.

MSB Certifications Approved - Two Examiners Certified
The Certified Money Service Business Examiner and Senior Money Service Business Examiner designations were approved by the CSBS Certification Committee and the Board of Directors in the spring.

The new designations were added to the website and shortly thereafter, Vermont examiners Richard Gorruso and Luke Jandreau submitted their applications for certification.  I am happy to report that both were approved.

All examiners who successfully completed the CSBS online course, Money Service Business Examinations, are eligible for this designation.  If you would like to learn more about these certifications, click Professional Development on the CSBS homepage and go to the Examiner Certification site.
