This interactive, on-line course is facilitated by a seasoned state bank regulator. This 5-week course consists of many activities, including:
- Analyzing 21 actual fraud cases
- Viewing PowerPoint presentations on audit, internal controls, and cyber banking

- Interacting with the other participants and the facilitator regarding these issues and the red flags associated with the fraud cases.

We will use various resources and materials which have been developed, implemented and refined over many years by federal and state regulatory agencies. Assignments will include reading regulatory resource material; IT examination manuals and forms; and real bank IT examination workpapers and results. This course will focus on the FFIEC Information Technology Risk Management Program, using the IT Officer's Questionnaire, accompanying workprogram, IT Examination Handbook, and other resources.

Credit Evaluation School (6/7/10) The new and improved Credit Evaluation School follows a blended learning model similar to our Certified Operations Examiner School. It is delivered over a 5-month period utilizing the most effective and efficient delivery channels. Over this period, the examiner will receive all of the required training and experience necessary to review and evaluate credit. The program follows a “dance card” concept utilized by many states. In addition, the examiner will have the benefit of the instructor serving as a “coach” throughout the program.An orientation conference call will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Examiner-In-Charge School (6/7/10) Examiner-in-Charge School is designed to train participants to evaluate management and to recognize practices that increase a bank’s exposure to risk. Participants also receive guidance and practice conducting board meetings.
There is approximately 40 hours of precourse work for this course. Access to the work will be distributed to the participant upon completion of registration.
In addition, there is required post-course work or "next steps" which must be completed to pass the class. The "next steps" are routine examination functions which will be easily completed during the normal course of on-the-job training.
An orientation conference call will be held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Please register for this course no later than Friday, March 12.
