The Professional Development Division of CSBS offers a wide range of in-person and online professional development and training programs, examiner certification, and department accreditation.
Our in-person and online programs range from basic examiner training and continuing education, to executive programs for senior department personnel. We also collaborate directly with state banking departments to develop, deliver, and manage all aspects of professional development and training programs that can be customized, held in-state or regionally, and competitively priced to keep training costs as affordable as possible.
The CSBS Examiner Certification Program offers eighteen designations in bank safety and soundness, mortgage, and specialty areas. The Program is open to all state bank examiners who meet the qualifications for training and work experience.
The CSBS State Banking Department Accreditation Program involves a comprehensive review of the critical elements that assure a banking department's ability to discharge its responsibilities through an investigation of its administration and finances, personnel policies and practices, training programs, examination policies and practices, supervisory procedures, and statutory powers. The Program is voluntary and not required for membership in CSBS or for participation in CSBS activities.
The CSBS Education Foundation is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
