Washington, D.C. – The Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) today named 12 university teams as finalists in the 2016 Community Bank Case Study Competition. The team finalists will now move on to the final round of competition judging where they will compete for first place. The winning team will be announced May, 26, 2016.
The 2016 Community Bank Case Study Competition finalists are:
• Arkansas State University (Team 2);
• Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (Team 2);
• Fairfield University;
• Idaho State University;
• Murray State University;
• Southeastern Louisiana University;
• Texas Tech University;
• University of Arkansas – Fayetteville;
• University of Mississippi;
• University of Missouri - Kansas City;
• University of Southern Indiana; and
• University of Wyoming.
The competition finalists were chosen among 23 undergraduate college teams from universities around the country. Facilitated by the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS), the Community Bank Case Study Competition encourages students to explore community banking by partnering student teams with local banks to conduct original case studies. The 2016 competition focused on the impact of small business lending efforts by local community banks.
