2025 Community Banking Research Conference Emerging Scholars Named

Washington, D.C. – The Community Banking Research Conference planning committee has named three graduate students as the 2025 Community Banking Research Conference Emerging Scholars. 

The scholars are: 

The Community Banking Research Conference, co-sponsored by CSBS, the Federal Reserve System, and the FDIC, is held at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in the fall. Each year, the planning committee selects three Ph.D. students who are considering or working on a dissertation on a banking-related topic for the Emerging Scholars Program.

CSBS sponsors the recipients’ attendance at the conference as honorees. While there, the scholars have the opportunity to share their research and to interact with researchers, community bankers, and state and federal bank supervisors.

The Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) is the national organization of bank regulators from all 50 states, American Samoa, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. State regulators supervise roughly three-quarters of all U.S. banks and a variety of non-depository financial services. CSBS, on behalf of state regulators, also operates the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System to license and register non-depository financial service providers in the mortgage, money services businesses, consumer finance, and debt industries.
